I have been wonderfully busy these last few weeks – being creative that is – however none of it is writing. I have done a lot of thinking about writing and spent some time pondering if there are any new stories to tell. Of course there are. New twists and turns to entangle the mind of the reader in a web of intrigue and interest.
I have not come to any great conclusions because after all there might not be any great conclusions at least for my mind, in the here and now. So I took my focus elsewhere and the idea was to create something that required concentration and to complete the task (I am a great non completer).
Creativity thrives and now as I am almost finished the last sweater I will do for awhile (it is for a 95 year old friend – so I must not dally), it is time to think about words, stories, and adventures. Have a wonderful weekend all!
Wow!!! That scarf is beautiful!!!!
There are many ways to exrercise your creative muscles. Looks like you are getting a workout.
I am getting a workout for sure. The scarves are lovely and I have given many away. You just gave me an idea…I have never held a giveaway but maybe in the fall that is what I should do. Thank you!!
Wow, you have been busy, Chris! I love that scarf. And I think you have your priorities quite right. Bustle in the real world is far better than cyberbustle.
Thanks Kate – you and Jay and Lois have given me a wonderful idea to have a scarf giveaway in the fall. I must think it out as I want to do it right. I do get a lot of comments when I wear them.
Love the scarf!! I never learned to knit or crochet, so I appreciate the handmade items my daughter-in-law and granddaughters make for me.
Thanks Lois and thanks to you I think I will do a scarf giveaway in Sept. I must get thinking to be sure I do this right!
Great idea!
Great idea–a giveaway.
You are very clever knitting those lovely aran sweaters for the boys, and they reminded me of my mother who used to do the same for us when we were kids, and then for the grandkids as they came along. She knitted one for me as an adult, and I still have it to this day – they last forever!
Time spent out walking with family or friends is always so special I find.
Thanks Barb, I am making similar in a cardigan for a dear old – 95 year ikd friend – who is cold winter and summer.
Your knitting is wonderful. Love the fancy dancy scarf! I never learned how to knit. My mom was left handed and I was not ,so it just didn’t work when she tried to teach me. For years I sewed most of my own clothes though incuding business suits.
I am super jealous of the sweater knitting ability!!! Super impressed as well!!!! Beautiful creations and moments Chris.
You have been busy! The sweaters are beautiful. I haven’t scrapbooked in a couple of years…I feel another one coming on. 🙂
Thanks Georgette I am totally in awe of people who can scrapbook. I tried it once and my children encouraged me not to continue LOL1
well haven’t you been having fun! gorgeous sweaters and time spent walking in the outdoors with people we love is always so precious. Keep it up, my friend, keep it up.
How are you doing Joss? Been thinking about you a lot lately. Have you got summer yet? I am getting some thoughts about a fall giveaway. Hmmmm
The sweaters and the scarf are so amazing! How nice of you to do that for your friend.
I am happy to be able to complete the challenge. I figure at my advanced age it some kind of brain training. Seeing these comments I have just begun to think about having a scarf giveaway in the fall.
I do understand about the not completing thing, i am SO like that. And now you have completed that two fantastic sweaters and one more to come. I am sure your old friend will be so grateful, real knitted jerseys are so much warmer! c
Hi C- I read you would like a jumper made from your wool and my first thought is I would love to do it – BUT- sending wool across the border would cost because you would have to pay this stupid HST tax we have and then am not sure if there are additional costs for me to send it back to you. But if you have a pattern in mind or a look I could see what I could do.
