Today – The Best Day of My Life – And it Hasn’t Happened Yet!

Today – The Best Day of My Life – And it Hasn’t Happened Yet!

Listen closely to the wind, for the answers are blowing around right in front of you today, christine. Make contact with people you haven’t heard from in a while. You will find that you can be quite productive today in situations that you least expect. Ironically, the less you plan, the more you will get accomplished. Be spontaneous in your actions. Revelations will come to you like lightening.

Yup, that’s my horoscope according to astrocenter.com
Whether you believe in the science/art/scam you have to admit this particular one is filled with such promise.

Astrology.com calls it, ‘the science of the stars”

I am so glad ‘the answers’ are blowing right around in front of me today, because I have been looking for them  everywhere for months. Up and down Hill and Dale, through drawers and cupboards, on the sea, on the land, in the air, through tangled webs amongst the grey cell matter of my cerebrum.  I have searched high and low for You Answers and today you are scheduled to blow around right in front of me.

AND I am going to be productive, ironically with little or no planning.  I tell you this is a dream come true!  AND I am going to be spontaneous in my actions.  AND revelations come like lightening!  I am so excited-this is gonna be some day!!!

I don’t claim astrology is or isn’t but I do enjoy reading astrocenter.com because it often is amusingly close.  I prefer to read it at the end of the day to see how close it was.

BUT, BUT I read it early and now am off to find previously lost answers, be productive, and revel in my revelations!!

A google.com search revealed this information and much more and Yahoo.answers provided the information below!

All of the founding fathers were Masons and astrologers. (Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, the list goes on and on)

All of the important events of the government were timed to astrology. The country was founded in Cancer, Election Day is in Scorpio, and Inauguration day used to be in Pisces until FDR (an Aquarian) changed it to Aquarius. This completed a Grand Trine in Water.

Carl Jung recognized the synchronicity, the basis of Astrology. He also said, “We are born at a given moment, in a given place, and like vintage years of wine, we have qualities of the year and the season in which we are born.”

Nancy Reagan used astrology, after the assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan in 1981, to determine when the best & worst times were for the president to do everything from signing bills to foreign travel. The media made fun of Nancy Reagan at the time but, President Reagan was the first president since Jefferson elected in a year ending with “0″ that was not killed while in office.

T. S. Eliot’s epic poem The Waste Land is full of astrological references. Not only that but the four sections are named after the astrological elements, Earth, Air, Water & Fire.

The Three Wise Men were Astrologers. Some believe that they heard that the Christ child would be born at the time of a conjunction of planets – two planets appearing in the same place in the sky at the same time – that was to signal the arrival of a new age. The two planets involved in this conjunction were Jupiter and Saturn. Both planets were bright, but this wasn’t something that the average eye could notice. Even though they were trained astrologers this took The Three Wise Men some time to find Jesus in Bethlehem. (The early Roman Catholic church used astrology – represented in the 4 corners of the mitered hat and much of the symbology in cathedral buildings and windows.)

Before the advent of the pharmaceutical industry, astrology was a required course in medical school.

Here is a list of what just a few famous people have said about astrology:
Plato – Philosopher said : “Perhaps there is a pattern set up in the heavens for one who desires to see it, and having seen it, to find one in himself.”

Albert Einstein – Physicist said : “Astrology is a science in itself and contains an illuminating body of knowledge. It taught me many things and I am greatly indebted to it.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson – Poet said : “Astrology is astronomy brought down to earth and applied toward the affairs of man.”

JP Morgan – First Billionaire said : “Millionaires don’t use astrology, billionaires do.”

Sir Isaac Newton – Physicist (Said in defense of astrology, to sceptic Edmund Halley) I have studied the matter. Your sir, have not.

Robert Heinlein – Best-selling Author said : “A touchstone to determine the actual worth of an ‘intellectual’, find out how he feels about astrology.”

Hippocrates- Father of Medicine said : “A physician without the knowledge of astrology has no right to call himself a physician.”

DH Lawrence – Author said : “Who knows the power that Saturn has over us, or Venus? But it is a vital power, rippling exquisitely through us all the time.”

Louis Pasteur – Scientist said : “The controls of life are structured as forms and nuclear arrangements, in relation with the motions of the universe.”

Pythagoras – Mathematician said : “The stars in the heavens sing a music if only we had ears to hear.”

Benjamin Franklin – A Founding Father of America said : “Astrology is one of the most ancient sciences, held in high esteem of old, by the wise and the great.”

Donald Reagan – Formerly Ronald Reagan’s Chief of Staff said : “It’s common knowledge that a large percentage of Wall Street brokers use astrology.”

iCloud, Weinergate, Download

I have no idea where this is from..but it appealed

iClouds, Weinergate, Download.
or
Baffling Bewitching…

Steve Jobs from Apple has said, ” We are going to move the digital hub, the centre of your digital life, into the cloud.”. Apparently it is an iCloud not to be confused I think with a rain cloud, thundercloud or cumulonimbus.  It’s also free so it must in some way resemble nature more than science by nature of it’s very freedom.  All of Apple’s devices can all talk to the cloud and will I think automatically sync without even having to take it out of your pocket.

Now this should be good news for the Weinergate congressman who first claimed pictures of his um thingy happened when his camera went off, in his pocket pants releasing his private file for the world to see.  He finally comes clean and uses the one line, the same disgusting nauseating line every public official  jerk has used to his public.  “I have made terrible mistakes and hurt the peopleI care about the most. “.  Oh and I really like the line, “I was trying to protect my wife..”. They have been married one year and he..the pervert, says they have no intention of splitting even though those pics are out there because he sent them to a few young “women”.  His wife is an aide to Hillary Clinton so she probably will stay with him following the sick example set by her boss.

I cannot and do not judge anyone for their practices, living in a glass house and all, but at least accept responsibility.  Saying you are sorry doesn’t cut it.  Sure you are sorry.  Sorry you got caught.  You know the death penalty should exist…for liars because ‘Liar Liar your pants are on fire’. just doesn’t seem harsh enough.

Mr. Anthony Weiner, the good news is that with the new iCloud you can take a photo, upload it to the cloud, then down load it to ALL the devices, including, iPad, MAC, Apple TV.

Braveheart, Not the Queen of Hamilton

Braveheart. ..not the Queen of Hamilton

I started out wanting to tell you how it came about that I am now the Queen of Hamilton.  Even though I am a King at least by marriage it just doesn’t feel right to say I am the King of Hamilton – it’s a whole gender thing.  Come to think of it I cannot believe a woman has not yet claimed kingship somewhere but confess I do not feel women should take from men in the quest to be equal and that includes gender specific titles. ( Although Queens of all genders should be treasured).

The point is that while the subject should be about my self imposed royalty it is in fact about Braveheart because that is what I have been watching for the last couple of hours.  Rewatching.  It is one of my fav movies even though Mel Gibson was too old for the role.  He was still an icon at the time, not yet experiencing his downward spiral exiting the royalty of Hollywood.  But it is a good story, a good film.  The actual story and events of the film are somewhat different ..of course.  Has there ever been an actual accurate movie portrayal of history?  Nah.

In the movie version there are all these kilts and fine brogues.  There is passion- love lost, rights fought for, battles, blood, revenge and justice.  There are evil Kings  (Longshanks), misguided future heroes (Robert The Bruce), Hamish who has his own charm, as does the crazy Irishman you can only love.  And an ending to die for – well at least William Wallace died for it.

When I was in Scotland I followed the tale of William Wallace and yes he is a true hero.  In the movie old Mel was a peace seeking man who goes to battle because the evil English overlords killed the woman he loved.  His one true love.

In fact he was a rebellious teenager who loved fighting and got in trouble for fighting the English who had by the way killed his father as in the movie.  But the sheriff made one mistake that is accurate in the movie, they killed the woman he loved in retribution thinking it would bring him to his knees, when in fact it spawned a rebellion and lit a fire in the hearts of the Scots that remains today.  He freed the Scots.

And yes he was betrayed, captured, tortured, hung and quartered with his remains sent to the farthest corners of the earth.

Years later, the English did conquer and one can assume all live in peace now, however, the Queen Mum ..our present queen’s mom who was Scots, once said to the leader of an English conquered nation, “We Scots understand exactly how you feel”

So to my English, Irish and Welsh friends..Aye we are okay!

My Son My Speech

I am trying so hard not to share every little thing about our own personal Royal Wedding, but here is just one more. I must admit to more sentiment than humor in this one but hope you will give it a look because it is just a tiny look at one man’s life. This is my speech at the Wedding.

My Son
Before R was born we dallied with a number of names looking for just the right moniker. His dad called from the ER one evening to say a little boy had been brought in with red hair and blue eyes and his name was R. Just that easily our baby ..if a boy..had a name.

From birth he brought lightness, joy and an amazing skill with people. Naturally, balanced with that, came stubbornness and tenacity.

R marched to a different drummer with his first steps and to this day he often seems genuinely surprised that the universe actually may have it’s own drummer .

WE, all of us here, have a drummer of some sort to keep our rhythm of life.
R is one of those rare souls that has a whole marching band.

This is the stuff the shakers and the makers of the world are made of. This is the stuff of an incredible man, my son.

So my son, This is you

2 years old….
R don’t run with a stick in your mouth
R don’t run with That stick in your mouth
R get in the car we are going to emerge

3 years old.
Ryan go play Mommy’s doing laundry
“Drink Mommy”
Ryan that is bleach!!
Hello…poison control…this Mrs B
R get in the car we are going to emerge

R it’s okay if you do not eat dinner but you get nothing more til breakfast
“Drink mommy”
Hello poison control..this is Mrs. B. R drank my Lemon Up hair conditioner
R get in the car we are going to emerge

Hello poison control?
Hello Mrs. B what did R take this time.?

His Generous Nature

R was in hospital for a couple of days. Breakfast came the next morning. The little girl in the crib next to him did not get breakfast. R crawled out of crib, into hers and gave her an orange.
A sign of his generosity.
Nurse…”Chris, R gave the little girl next to him an orange..we had to cancel her surgery.”

One snowy Thanksgiving Day R came home for dinner. He was living in Simcoe and was glad for the left overs I sent with him. When I called the next day I asked if he enjoyed the food. He said, “Mom last night I looked outside and saw a homeless man in a doorway so I gave him sandwich and soup, and gave him my blanket. He was asleep so I covered him up put the food beside him.”

People Skills and instilling confidence..
Eunice…you know Chris. I was nervous about letting the boys go canoeing..but R reassured me that he is an expert canoeist.
Me ….Eunice..R has never been in a canoe before

Val…Chris. I don’t let Andrea go out in cars with kids but I always know she is safe with R driving
Me..Val, R does not have a drivers license

Sincerity
R has an amazing group of friends, a band of brothers of substance, talent and great humor. This is one of the rewards that life has brought this man of strong moral fiber.

And then a few years ago came a young woman who first said to me…R makes me laugh!
And over the years I have seen them laugh, work, and struggle and survive and grow.
Last night my son said to me, “Mom I’m sorry it has taken me so many years to marry but I had to wait until she was ready. And if I had to I would have waited forever”

Oh yeah and if I come across my other son’s speech from his wedding I will share it…cross dressing, pyromania all at the age of 2 and a loving heart!

When Seasons Change….GypsyMama’s Five Minute Friday

GypsyMama’s Five Minute Friday. When Seasons Change

When Season Change I am reminded of the cycle of life.  I guess most of are that way, especially when you live in Canada where each solstice is so dramatic from the last.

My favorite is the fall when walks through rustling leaves just feels good to the soul.  There is a comfort in the sound of all that rustling and the sharper smells as the air seems clearer.  It is my favorite time to be in a forest.  It’s a quiet season, a getting ready to snuggle down season and get ready for my favorite holiday – Thanksgiving because it is a time for true Thanks Giving.  It is a time when families come together, no gifts mandated by commercialism…just plain old Thanks for our blessings and an appreciation for the many people who are those blessings.

Nuts..times up!
