The Time has come

In light of the latest act of terrorism I have decided it is time to draw a line. There is little I, one insignificant person can do that will make a difference, but if we all take this step it will help.

From now on all posts that lash out to anyone will be deleted and I will sadly unfollow that person. If I follow you now it is because you mean something to me and are treasured. But spewing forth: hatred for immigrants, politicians, fat people, thin people, Walmart in pyjama people, will be deleted. Expressions of Hate and Scorn embolden and spur those on to Despicable Actions, who might otherwise have not acted.

If you disagree with something or someone then act on it by becoming part of the solution. There is no place for vitriol. It is a tool of Evil. And Evil strives for Chaos and Discontent and Hatred. And all of these become stronger with expression.

Inconsequential Consequences

consequences

The consideration of consequences is what gives society a leg up on decency, even more so than the aesthetic consideration of what is right.

We not only have abandoned rightful consequence we have suspended the due process of justice.  Guilty on accusation.

Rampant accusation and rampant and often illogical consequences.  People are guilty on accusation.

Matt Damon made a logical statement and was castigated.  Not only is the right to free speech gone (unless you are a white supremacist speaking at some college aimed at creating chaos then all bets are off), individual rights and freedoms have been relegated to the gates of hell.

The President of the United States boldly lies, denigrates humanity, and abuses and disrespects many, not the least being women, without consequence, and has made Alternative Facts and misrepresentations of truth and decency acceptable.

In Canada a political leader of great promise has two accusers come forth, one from when he was a teenager and dropped his drawers leading to a consensual event, and once from some bimbo who when he tried to kiss her said no and he accepted no as no and took her home at her request, has resigned his post.

We not only have abandoned the consideration of rightful consequence we have suspended the due process of justice.  Guilty on accusation. Guilty on accusation.

It cannot be said enough.

The Evil of the world loves this.  Give the masses something to rage about and they will not notice what else  is taking place until it is too late.

On Waking Early Ridiculously Clear of Mind

‘It seems to be an age thing, this waking up at 1:45 am, all rested and bright and mercifully doesn’t happen every day – yet.  However there seems to be a certain creativity in the hour or is it merely misguided perception, or I guess really, misperceived perception?

Laying very still listening to thoughts on free range you might say before the presence of the day cages and labels them .. these were this morning’s treasures….

Thoughts-

What do Judge Judy and Liam Neeson do for us? (Honest honest this was the first thought.)

What if your world changed in a blink?

Are you capable of looking after yourself?

What am I not seeing in this moment?  And why does it take decades to be able to look back and wonder why we could not see what is so obvious now?

‘Decisions we make today

The things we do or do not

Temptation to evil is less glitzy, glamor and noise

Heralding its arrival and intent –

And more the quiet seductive luring and alluring procuring

It is not the roar of cannon fire warning of danger danger danger

Giving time to suit up, armor up, prepare

But the barely heard snake like slither sliding, guiding and twisting into our minds and hearts

Mindlessly following, allowing, plowing past caution.

The nonsense of consequence easily dismissed ,

Until we see the collalteral damage of broken hearts, broken children, broken homes, broken futures.

Broken us.

Now where did that come from? Guess I should go tackle that Judy/Liam thing now cause I think my mind has reached the deepest it is going to go for the day.

You-will-never-touch-our-children-again!!

Wizard

So screamed Mrs. Weasley as she took out the evil Bellatrix.  Yup I have spent another weekend lost in a story.

This time it was a reread of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.  A reread of six hundred and seven pages that I just could not put down.  Again.  J.K. Rowling does have a way with words.

So at almost 1 a.m. I am ready to call it a day.
Regardless of your opinion of Wizards et al any story where right overcomes wrong is exhilarating.

What I like about Rowling is that her characters are not perfect – not black and white.  The best have a dark side to overcome and the worst have a chance at redemption.  And who you think is good is often not and vice versa.  And no one lives a life without some regret.

Now I wonder what I should read in bed to fall asleep?
I think I so have to get a life.
Dancing would be nice.
