I’m a Bear Barely There
If you were an animal which would you be?
Would you be big as a horse or small as a flea?
Would you bark like a dog, meow like a cat?
Would you be skinny or very very fat?
Would you slither and hiss much like a snake,
Or swim like a fish across a great lake?
Would you hop like a bunny or fly like a dove?
Would you be grumpy or growl with love?
In the summer I’d be a bird with a flare
But in the winter I’d be a big old bear
Cause then I could grow fat and furry
Sleep all winter and never scurry
Til spring beckoned with a flowery day
I’d shed all that fat then run and play.
If you were an animal – which would you be?
(Hmmm perhaps my three year old daily contact is influencing my style?) As the days grow cooler I find myself wanting to hibernate.
This is so sweet… I love the honesty and sweetness of it… I don’t want to be any animal… but hey, you never know. 🙂
I’m finally catching up on everyone’s blog. Thank you for your patience! 🙂
I love that you don’t want to be any animal Elizabeth…chuckling here!
I love this. I hope you shared it with your little friend.
I would be a monarch butterfly,
resting on the milkweed briefly to say hi and bye,
starting my flight in Canada
to the land of Zapata and the piñata.
Monarch Butterflies are the best of all. The first year I lived in south Texas I thought there was a snow storm coming down the road and instead it was thousands of butterflies! Until then I never k ew these fragile appearing creatures were actually so hearty!
I would be a little Tibetan Spaniel, secure int he love of a doting owner, warm and fed and well cared for! 🙂
I know you love that Tibetan Spaniel …such a wonderful companion and friend!
I would like to be a dog..but only if I was one of my dogs. Then I would be fed, watered, and treated kindly. I would be loved, tickled and have someone to play with. I could lie around the house in comfort all day and at night I would get my bowl of milk and a biscuit before I retired for the night in a lovely comfortable warm bed….. No worries, no cares, no problems what more could a dog want?
How many dogs do you have Patrecia? I think you would want an owner like you!
I love your influence! I felt very happy and young reading this. I would be….I would be a wild Connemara Pony. Roaming Ireland of course! 🙂
I love the Connemara Pony you talked about earlier…th best answer yet!
Very well done! I would have to be an animal that was a combination of lazy, always hungry, absent-minded, and overly idiotic……. Maybe a fat penguin……. yeah…that’s the ticket….a lazy fat penguin is what I would be… 🙂
Oh Mark as a penguin you would have to live in eternal snow and ice and would miss all that extreme heat of Texas!
